Picture in Picture Presets

To use the AVI transitions, put it under the finishing clip and above the starting clip like this:

Right click on the transition AVI (in this case "shatter") and in Video Effects, in Mix FX click the Alpha button.

Also make sure the arrow in the left hand end of the transition is pointing the correct way: click it to reverse it's direction. If it's pointing down, the top track will end and the bottom track will start as the transition runs.

Download these transitions by right clicking them and selecting Save target as...

Download them into your MEP200X\Plugins folder (that's where all the transitions are stored), then they will be visible on the Trans FX tab. To be extra-neat, create a new folder in PlugIns, such as Extras, and store your extra transitions in there. This will mean that you can easily back them up or save them if you decide to re-install MEP or format your system.

Picture In Picture Presets

These PinP presets have been created and provided by Testataan. The presets are contained in a folder called "36_kuvaa" and it has been zipped. Download the ZIP file and extract it into your MEP 14 VideoEffects\Multi_pip folder. Examples of common folder installations are:

Windows XP:    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\MEP14+\VideoEffects\Multi_pip\36_kuvaa

Windows Vista:    C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Movie_Edit_Pro_14_PLUS\VideoEffects\Multi_pip\36_kuvaa

After the 36_kuvaa folder has been installed, the PiP presets are available using the Effect tab>VideoFX section, Multi Image part. The 36_kuvaa folder will be visible there.

By the way, Kuvaa is Finnish and means pictures.
